About

Our Mission is to spread  the Good News of Jesus Christ in the lives of individuals through local and virtual avenues, meeting spiritual needs while attending emotional, relational , and physical requirements, reflecting the love and grace of God, to those within this body, our community, and throughout the world.

Today, under one collective identity, we can enthusiastically lift up that the UCC is a welcoming, justice-minded Christian community. At a time when religion is too often portrayed as narrow-minded and exclusive, many are raising their voices for a just and peaceful world.

Historical Reflection In 1967, worship services began in a rented storefront at W. Oakland Park. Later that year the congregation moved their worship service into a clubhouse at Village Mobile Homes. Groundbreaking on the present site was held in June, 1970 for what was to be the first church of any denomination to be built in the City of Tamarac FL.

Twenty-five years later, the congregation of FAITH Church voted unanimously to build the new sanctuary, which was dedicated on March 8, 1998. True to the Congregational Church’s roots in New England of early America, a UCC church in Worcester, Massachusetts donated the antique alter pieces and the 100 year old stained glass windows that were incorporated into the design.

What To Expect

Worship services are casual although many still prefer to dress up, we believe it is more important to show up! Our congregation is truly a melting pot of many races, cultures and religious backgrounds. We have a blended service with traditional hymns as well as modern praise & worship, with a live band that really makes a joyful noise to the Lord!

During this time of the COVID pandemic we have made modifications to our in house worship format.  We are practicing the CDC recommendations for social distancing, face coverings and sanitation.  We are not passing the peace, having communion  (except on rare & special occasions with safe protocols), passing the plate or meeting for refreshments after the service. Once the pandemic has receded to safe levels we will resume normal worship format.

Our Beliefs

BIBLE.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God.

GOD.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God our Heavenly Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

JESUS.

We believe the Good News that God came to earth in Jesus Christ to reconcile the world to Himself, to reconcile us to each other, and to reconcile us to ourselves.

HOLY SPIRIT.

We believe that the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us enables us to live a holy life becoming more like Christ in our daily walk.

MAN.

We believe that our highest purpose in life is to follow Jesus, and our greatest commitment is to be His disciples.

SALVATION.

We believe that the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ provides the only way of salvation for all who believe.

Holy Communion.

We believe in the continual participation in the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion), through the eating and drinking of the symbols of Christ’s broken body: “the bread,” and his shed blood: “the cup.” We do this in remembrance of his life and earthly ministry, of his death and resurrection  as we await his return.
